We can easily detach a tab in Firefox or other browser from the active window. However, the thing is that the tab opens in a new window. That means you can open links, scroll down or up the webpage, etc. If you are opening an outbound link, then that link is opened as tab in Firefox window, but inbound link opens within that pop-up.

You can install this add-on just like any other Firefox add-on. Now to use this add-on, you need to take the help of right-click. If you are using Firefox 52 or lower version, then you have to right-click on webpage. If you are using Firefox 53+, then you need to right-click on tab bar. After right-clicking, you will see Popup this tab option.
