While working on Firefox or some other browser, we open different webpages. We prefer opening some webpages in the same tab and some in new tabs. But, the problem comes when we open multiple webpages in the same tab and then need to go back to the very first page of that tab. Firefox doesn’t come with feature to jump to the parent webpage of a tab in a single click. It lets you access the tab history by right-clicking on back button and then you can go back to the very first webage in that tab. If you need a simpler way to come back to the first webpage of a tab in Firefox, then you should try ‘Snap Back Button‘ add-on.
As the name of this add-on suggests, it provides a button to move back to the very first page opened by you in a tab. So, moving from the active webapge to the parent webpage in the same tab is just a matter of click using this add-on.
I have added the screenshot above to show you the button or icon of this add-on. When you will install it, the same icon will visible on your Firefox browser on the top-right side. The add-on is compatible with Firefox 57 also.
After installing it, you can continue browsing as you do normally in Firefox browser. Now, whenever you have to come back to the first webpage in a tab, give a tap to add-on icon. It will skip rest of the webpages of that tab and load the parent webpage in that tab.

This is all the add-on does. There is nothing to configure. Only one button is there to serve the purpose of this add-on. It also doesn’t interfere or overwrite the built-in tab history feature of Firefox, which is a good thing. You can use that feature also. And when you want to quickly jump to the first page in a tab, this add-on will help you.
