Free Email Signature Generator Chrome Extension

There’s a bunch of tools available on the internet that lets you create customized and professional email signatures. Email Signature Generator by cloudHQ is one such tool that’s available for free for Google Chrome.

The extension allows you to quickly create and save email signature templates for your business needs. You can add information such as your company’s profile, logo, image, meeting calendar links, social profile links, confidentiality clauses, holiday banners, etc. You can also add an HTML block to enter any information that you may not be able to add through the available settings. The added information can also be customized in terms of font style, color, size, etc.

Getting Started with this free Email Signature Generator Chrome extension

1). Sign in to Chrome with your Gmail account.

2). Use this link to access the tool from the Chrome Web Store.

3). Click on the ‘Add to Chrome’ button. A confirmation pop-up will appear.

4). Click on the Add extension button.

As soon as the extension is installed, your Gmail account will open in another browser tab with a popup window.

5). Click on the ‘Design My Signature’ button. After that, allow this extension to access your email account so that it can work for you.

This will open its interface, as shown in the following screenshot. From here, you can design your email signature as per your need.

Note: The extension adds a ‘Manage Gmail Signatures’ button in the ‘Compose New Message’ window that allows you to open the Email Signature Generator and redesign your signature if required.

Working with this Free Email Signature Generator

The user interface of this extension is divided into 2 sections. The left section consists of the editor window while the right section consists of the preview window. This allows you to see the real-time preview of the signature you are creating. The editor consists of various screens that can be accessed using the tabs placed on the left side of the screen.

1). Details tab

This tab allows you to add details about yourself and your company, such as your company’s photo or logo, address, your name, your email, your job title, company’s web address, etc. You can also add a custom text field using the ‘Add Another’ button at the bottom of the screen.

2). Social Profiles tab

This tab allows you to add links to your company’s social profile accounts, such as Facebook, Linkedin, and Twitter. The extension offers more than 40 social media platforms to add. Once added, you can re-arrange the order of the social profile icons that will be visible in your signature.

3). Customize tab

This tab allows you to customize the look and feel of your email signature. By default, it displays the preview of the signature in a classic layout. This can be changed to other available layouts, such as compact, clean, or elegant. Within each layout, you can further customize the size and style of the fonts, size of images, the color of links and labels, and type of separator. You can also set whether or not to insert the signature in a reply or forward email.

4). Extensions tab

This tab shows a list of add-ons to add more information to your signature. This information includes a calendar link, a promotional link, a rating poll, a YouTube video, a banner, a ‘Go Green’ footer, an HTML block, and a disclaimer. Each add-on shows a few settings that collectively make the add-on work. You can also change the order of the add-ons to change the placement of the added information.

To save the signature, you can click on the ‘Save Signature’ button just above the preview window of the editor. Once your signature is saved, it gets inserted in each new email you create.

The extension is really nice to quickly create professional email signatures. It offers a simple and easy-to-use GUI. There’s a placeholder for almost all types of information that can be accommodated within your signature. The user just needs to select what needs to be shown and enter the values. The look and feel of the signature can also be changes using simple controls. This add-on is a must-try for Gmail users.
