Bring System Tray Clock Back to Rightmost Corner in Windows 10

admin September 25, 2016

After upgrading to Windows 10 Anniversary Update, users are enjoying many interesting features. However, some unexpected changes have also been added to Windows 10, which almost all of us really don’t like. One of those changes is system tray clock is shifted to the left side and Action Center icon is now available at the rightmost corner in the system tray. Windows 10 has the option to hide Action Center icon so that clock will come automatically to the right most corner, but this doesn’t solve the problem.

If you want to keep using Action Center in the system tray and also want to move system tray to the corner (at the right side), then you are reading the perfect tutorial. This tutorial covers a tiny software “ClockPositionRightousifier” which is made for this specific purpose. This software automatically shifts Action Center icon to the left side and system tray clock to the corner in Windows 10. Thus, everything will be the same, which was before upgrading to Anniversary Update.

This animated GIF above showing the position of system tray clock before and after using this software. It is crystal clear that after using ClockPositionRightousifier, the clock is moved to the rightmost corner automatically and Action Center icon is shifted to the left side (just before the system clock).

Move System Tray Clock To Right Side Without Hiding Action Center Icon in Windows 10:

Use these steps carefully:

Step 1: Download the zip file of ClockPositionRightousifier software from GitHub. You may find the link at the end of this tutorial.

Step 2: Extract that downloaded zip and you will find binaries folder. Under that folder, you will find two more folders: CPR_x64 and CPR_x86. You know very well what you have to do. If your system supports 64-bit, then open CPR_x64 folder. Or else, open CPR_x86 folder.

Step 3: You will find ClockPositionRightousifier application file. Double-click that file and see the magic. The system clock will shift to the right corner.

This is it! You have done it. To undo changes, you can execute ClockPositionRightousifier application file again. If you don’t execute that file, then system tray clock will remain at the right corner until you restart the PC. After restarting the PC, Action Center icon will come back to its position.

Step 4: This is a very important step. It is helpful when you don’t want to execute that application file again and again and want to keep system tray clock to the right corner automatically after PC restart. What you need to do is add the shortcut of ClockPositionRightousifier application file to startup folder. Press ‘Win+R’ hotkey to open Run command, type shell:startup, and press enter.

It will open startup folder directly. Now paste the shortcut of ClockPositionRightousifier application file and close the window.

From now onwards, whenever you will restart the PC, ClockPositionRightousifier will execute automatically and move system tray clock to the right side.

This is indeed a very good software and helping users to put the system tray clock back where it belongs (i.e. the rightmost corner in the system tray). If you also want to do the same, get this software and follow the steps I have added in this tutorial.
