Use Slack, WhatsApp, Twitter, Skype, Hangouts, Gmail from One Place

We have so many social platforms (Twitter, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, etc.) and we love to use them. However, we need to open multiple tabs of a browser or install their apps to use all those platforms. While working on PC/laptop, sometimes it becomes very difficult to work as well as use our social accounts. Reserving multiple tabs for our social accounts is also difficult because it consumes system memory. So, how about a single platform that lets you access all your social accounts from one place? That’s really fantastic, isn’t it!

Franz“, this is the name of that free software that lets you use multiple social sites from its sleek interface. You can add all the services supported by this software in tabs and access any tab easily. Whether you want to use WhatsApp, chat with your Facebook friends, use Slack, or need to access any other social platform, everything can be done from one platform. The best thing is that you can add multiple accounts of a particular social networking site. Also, it has the feature to show unread count for all the added services. A sound notification is also provided by this software. Thus, you can check how many unread messages are there in a particular service and if a new message has come or not.

Above is the Windows interface of this software. Franz is currently available in beta version, but it works like a stable release. It is available for Windows (32-bit and 64-bit), Linux (32-bit and 64-bit), and Mac.

You must also be curious to know if this software accesses your messages or keeps a record of any service or not. As per it is mentioned on its homepage, it neither reads your messages nor sends or receive anything on your behalf. So, it only works as a medium between you and social networking sites supported by it.

Here is the list of services that can be added using this software:

  • WhatsApp.
  • Slack.
  • Skype.
  • FB Messenger.
  • WeChat.
  • Telegram.
  • HipChat.
  • ChatWork.
  • Flowdock.
  • Google Hangouts.
  • Rocket.Chat.
  • GroupMe.
  • Twitter.
  • Mattermost.
  • DingTalk.
  • Steam Chat.
  • Inbox by Gmail.
  • Wire.
  • IRCCloud.
  • ICQ.
  • Gmail.
  • LinkedIn.
  • Facebook Page.
  • Hibox.
  • Yahoo! Messenger.
  • Zendesk, etc.

So, apart from using social sites, it also lets you access some work related services such as Gmail, Slack, and Outlook.

Let’s See How To Access Gmail, WhatsApp, Slack, Twitter, Skype and Other Services Using Franz:

Franz comes packed in a zip file (talking about Windows version). When the interface is opened, it will show you the list of services that it supports. You can select any service and sign in with your account. Also, if you have multiple accounts related to a single service, then you can add other accounts also.

This is it! Add any account and a tab will be reserved for that account on its interface. Add as many services as you want and you will be able to see the tabs of any service. Also, for every single service added by you, you have the choice to show/hide notifications, mute sounds, disable any service, and delete the service.

Above is the Settings pop-up for a service and all the options that I explained are available there.

I must say this is a quite useful software to connect and access different social media platforms from one place. Everything is so easy here. You only need to connect accounts and enjoy using them. Also, the choice to add and delete services from its interface always remains to you. I’m gonna start using it for daily purpose. You should also try it.
